Club Central Supports Amelie House – Women’s Refuge
Club Central is proud to provide ongoing support to Vinnies – Amelie House who assist with women and children escaping domestic violence. During May and June our loyal members and great staff donated new linen that will be used in relocating residents from Amelie House as they set up their life free of violence in the home. Thanks to all who supported this initiative. We look forward to providing further assistance in the future.
If you or someone you know might need assistance in this space please contact Link2Home on 1800 152 152, the Domestic Violence Line on 1800 656 463 or through our Central Intake Line on (02) 9560 2656.
St George Meals On Wheels
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Club Central staff have been out in the community helping with various volunteer organisations. One of these important Organisations is St George Meals On Wheels. Each Wednesday one of the Club Central staff visits homes delivering meals to those who are unable to cook for themselves.
Our staff have reported that the Meals on Wheels recipients clearly appreciate the service and the interaction with the staff during the visit. Many of the elderly in the program are happy to have a brief chat with the volunteers during an otherwise quiet day. Many have said it is a rewarding experience brightening their spirits and providing a service to the community that they would usually not
get to experience.
Are you a blood donor? Join Red25 Club Central Team and save lives!
Club Central has signed up to the Red25 program with the Red Cross Blood Service. This is a unique program uniting groups and organisations around Australia to save lives through Blood Donation.
We are asking ALL eligible members to consider signing up to our Red25 team – Club Central. All you need to do if you’re an existing donor is have your Donor ID number linked to the Club Central Red25 team. If you’re not a donor but are considering, all you need to do is call 13 14 95 to become a donor and receive your ID.
Our aim is to be the number one Red25 team in the region, and with over 40,000 possible blood donors in our organisation we think this goal is well within reach. With one donation potentially saving 3 lives, that a lot of people we can help. The statistics show that 1 in 3 people will need some sort of blood related product in their life. If it’s not you, then think of your spouse or siblings.
